Services available at Sheatufim's Center for Professional Management:

Personal counseling for managers of non-profit organizations:
Unique consulting model in which personal meetings with the organization's general manager are held in order to expand his/her management skills. The consulting process is composed of 12 meetings, which address:

    1. Case study - The manager selects a relevant management issue being contended with such as strategic thinking, organizational structure, leading change, communications with the Board of Directors, building partnerships, management interfaces, or management and staff development.
    2. Personal growth - The meetings include analysis of  some of the manager's dilemmas, which allows for reflection of basic concepts and introduction of resolution alternatives.

 

Professional forums: There are presently 4 peer learning groups which meet regularly to learn and share knowledge.  These include forums of  knowledge managers, fund managers, evaluation managers in funds and general managers.

Mentoring: Facilitation of mentoring  between mentors and trainees, allowing for sharing of experience, knowledge, expertise, values and world views. A successful mentoring experience enriches both participants  and grants significant professional satisfaction.

Lay leadership: A partnership of Sheatufim and The Penni and Stephen Weinberg Center for Lay Leadership, this programpromotes influential, entrepreneurial and responsible lay leadership of organizations in the social field. Activities include the development and operation of a training program for non-profit board members, counseling, guidance and connecting of business executives to public boards.

Information and knowledge management: The Knowledge Center offers access to an extensive and interactive database of web based tools and knowledge materials  relevant to third sector managers. The knowledge center comprises of various tools such as articles, how-to guides, templates and forms. In addition, a unique and extensive directory of foundations is available. Non-profit managers have access to indexed and easy to search up-to-date resources in one central location.
