The Israeli Center for Third Sector Research was established at 1997 at the Ben Gurion university in order to develop knowledge in the realm of non-profit organizations. The Center acts for the initiation and concentration of research dealing with various aspects of the Third Sector in Israel, developing knowledge about the complex factors that make up the third sector; non-profit organizations, philanthropic and volunteer activities as well as development of academic and public debate on the issue of policy towards the third sector. The Center serves as the leading research in the study of the third sector

The Israeli Civic Leadership Association (ICLA)

ICLA is a nonpartisan organization supporting all nonprofit organizations in Israel. ICLA strives to enhance awareness of the importance of the civil society and third sector to society, and lobbies extensively to attain this goal, both in government and Knesset and with the public at large. ICLA‘s work is similar to that of the "Independent Sector' in the US, NVCO in the UK, and Imagine in Canada.
ICLA (formerly the Voluntary & Nonprofit Sector-VNPS) was established in 1986 by the JDC Israel. Throughout the years ICLA became the 'de-facto' representative of third sector organizations in Israel. ICLA's vision is to build an influential third sector, a partner to the first and second sector in the promotion of a democratic civil society in Israel.

Maala-Business for Social Responsibility is Israel's leading advocate on corporate values and citizenship 

 Founded in 1998, Maala is a non-profit membership organization whose creation was inspired by the US-based Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) and a growing network of leading corporate citizenship organizations around the world, with which it is affiliated. Maala serves as an advocate, consultant, educator and facilitator, encouraging corporations to identify opportunities for community involvement, promoting environmentally sound practices, social accountability and reporting.

Shatil, The New Israel Fund's Empowerment and Training Center for Social Change Organizations in Israel, was established in 1982 to strengthen civil society efforts and promote democracy, tolerance, and social justice in Israel. Each year, Shatil provides close to 1,400 nonprofit organizations with consulting, training, coalition-building assistance and other services.

JDC-Israel (NPO) is a Jewish American organization that operates for weak populations which find it difficult to fit or function socially in Israel. JDC, in partnership the Government of Israel, authorities and organizations, initiates and develops plans, programs and services to strengthen the array of social services in Israeli society.

The Association for the Development and Advancement of Manpower in the Social Services in Israel - was established in 1984 by JDC-Israel, the Israel arm of the American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Government of Israel. JDC-ELKA was created in response to a need for a non-governmental, professional organization that would work exclusively and continuously to enhance the effictiveness of Israel's public services by developing the management and administrative capablities of the people who run them.
