Inter Sector Dialogue

Vision

Sheatufim's Inter-Sector Dialogue Center promotes partnerships and collaborative efforts between multiple sectors to effect change in the social space -  the business sector, the government and civil/social sectors. The realization that the social space is composed of organizations with varying values, causes and social functions necessitates an inter sector dialogue.

Current projects

PMO inter sector roundtable - Sheatufim coordinates, consults and accompanies this new platform for effective inter-sector dialogue in Israel, initiated by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to create a firm framework for carrying out the policy outlined by the government for inter sector partnership. Roundtables of Israeli government, philanthropy, business and non-profit organizations meet for the purpose of developing endeavors on a national level.  This dialogue is based on the belief that effective social policy is achieved by agreement, inclusion, and respect for each sector's role and contribution to the society as a whole.

The Roundtable serves as a basis for developing ventures, such as the inter-sector emergency coordination headquarters during Operation Cast Lead and the inter-sector economic plan for dealing with the economic crisis.

Consultation and coordination to the initiative for promoting employment of people with disabilities in Israel - The initiative to promote employment of people with disabilities started by Mr. Raanan Dinur, former Prime Minister's Office Director-General. In March 2010, the CEO Ministries Forum, headed by the current prime minister's office Director-General, Mr. Eyal Gabay, approved the government's participation in the initiative.

The project will be headed and operated by "JDC-Israel", in cooperation with the relevant ministries and stakeholders from the civil society and business sector.

Sheatufim leads the planning process and facilitates the process of establishing a dedicated inter sector council for this initiative.
